Static Riser Hold Over Fingers — 110°+

An isometric riser hold over the fingers at a wide 110°+ angle trains finger-grip rising strength from a deep, finishing-position angle — the hardest combination of grip and angle in the riser-hold family.

  2. 2Raise your knuckles and thumb upward
  3. 3Hold the position under tension

Sets & Reps

3-4 sets · 10-15 seconds hold

Coaching Tips

  • The wider angle trains rising closer to a finishing position
  • Breathe steadily — don't hold your breath through the hold

Common Mistakes

  • Attempting this variation before building a base with flatter-angle or standard-grip riser holds first
  • Using too much resistance to reach the wide angle at all, sacrificing the finger-hooked grip position to do so
